Exodus Public School resulted as a long-cherished dream of visionaries who aimed at a stellar educational institution to nurture and provide excellence to the populace of West Cochin. Keeping in mind the moderate budget accessible to a middle-class family, Exodus Public School recognizes the challenges faced by parents to provide a comprehensive academic package. To enable this dream to fructify, a group of erudite Professors, Doctors, Engineers, and IT professionals of West Cochin created the Cochin Social and Educational Charitable Trust to govern the proper functioning of Exodus Public School. The Exodus Public school was started in the year 2006 with the LKG class alone. Now the school has progressed to Std 7. The school is currently functioning in three centers Nazareth at Fort Cochin, Kumbalanghi, and Maruvakadu Chellanam. The Foundation stone for the school was done By Mr. Ibrahimkunju MLA of Mattancherry assembly on 12th October 2005. School started its normal functioning in the 2006-07 academic year onwards.
In the academic year, 2012-13 Exodus Public school started its branch at Kumbalanghi . The school was inaugurated by Prof. K. V. Thomas, Honorable Minister of food and consumer affairs on 22 nd February 2012. On 14 th December 2013, Prof. K. V. Thomas Minister of state for food and consumer affairs laid the foundation stone for the school complex at Maruvakadu, Cheltenham.
From June 2014-15 academic year onwards the Exodus Public School started its functioning in Maruvakadu Campus. The Foundation stone for the New School complex was laid by Dr. P A Nelson Secretary of Cochin Social and Educational Charitable Trust on 8 th September 2016 at 10.30 am. The Foundation stone was blessed by Rev. Fr. Antony Kochukariyil, President Mr. Francis Xavier P A. Treasurer Mr. K V Joseph, Manager Mrs. Joyce Nelson, Principal Mrs. Mary Soumya, Mrs. Shiny Mathew standing committee chairperson for town planning in Cochin corporation were present on that occasion. In the present academic year 2020-21, the school functions at three centers. At Nazareth LKG to Std VII, In Kumbalanghi campus LKG to Std I and at Maruvakadu LKG, UKG, and STD V.
